It all started on March 5, 1902 in Waynesboro, PA when Fred Bear was born. At the age of 29 Fred began bow hunting and immediatly loved the sport. Fred pursued all animals both large and small and traveled the world filming his hunts. This passion could easily been seen in the care and craftsmanship in his bows.
At the age of 40 years old, Fred Bear and a journalist traveled to upstate Michigan and showcase Fred's bow hunting talents. These films, newspaper articles and magazine features spread throughout the nation and fueled the bow hunting community.
The legend and craftsmanship live on today in Bear Compound Bows. Bear Bows have remained in the game and continue to bring innovative engineering and quality compound bows to the market each year.
